Abstract Traditional teaching of chemistry of daily chemicals was reformed by adjusting the course contents, modifying the teaching methods and changing the evaluation methods. The learning initiative and enthusiasm of students were mobilized, their abilities of knowledge understanding and applying were strengthened and their creative thinking was also cultivated, and the interaction between teachers and students were promoted.
