Abstract Combined with careful teaching process design, the dialectical unity relationships lying in chemical knowledges, such as chemical reaction, chemical equilibrium, crystal structures, crystal properties and so on, were dissected and identified by some typical cases to develop students' dialectical thinking ability. The practice showed that the concept "while teaching just only for imparting knowledge" should be changed, the connotation of college chemistry knowledge system could be dug deep to seek out the relationship between chemistry and philosophy. It was an effective way to develop students' dialectical thinking ability, help them set up materialistic world view, achieve innovative ability and truly realize the goals of high education.
