Abstract This paper discussed the use of carbon tetrachloride in middle school chemistry experiments according to the national environmental protection policies for carbon tetrachloride, analyzed the chemical experiments using carbon tetrachloride and the amount of carbon tetrachloride in chemistry textbook for senior high school. Put forward four measures for controlling the use of carbon tetrachloride: finding alternative reagents, recycling reagents, separation and disposal of waste liquid, and reducing unnecessary experiments.
