Abstract Problem-based teaching mode based on network has been applied in materials chemistry teaching.In the new teaching mode, students learned autonomously and teachers gave supplementary guidance by means of network. In the specific process, teachers set questions; students consulted relevant documents, discussed according to the given questions, and then summed up the discussed results; in the end, teachers gave corresponding comments and guidance in view of the summarized results.Practical results indicated that the new teaching mode was in favor of cultivation of autonomous learning and abilities of problem solving for students, which was useful for establishing diversified teaching forms.
