Abstract The applications of multiple intelligences theory in high school chemistry in China were mainly focused on chemistry course, chemistry teaching, chemistry experiment, teaching evaluation, teachers' professional development and the training strategies of multiple intelligences and so on. Future research should pay attention to clarify the significance of the multiple intelligences theory, attach importance to empirical research, explore the rich variety of teaching mode and teaching strategies, develop rich curriculum resources, set an evaluation standard for multiple intelligences in line with China, and pay attention to the teachers' professional development.
