Abstract This paper introduced the new edition of Science Syllabus for Lower Secondary of Singapore which started using from 2013, the new syllabus designed science curriculum from the perspective of the nature of science, paid high attention to scientific inquiry, integrated the scientific ideas with the core concepts of interdisciplinary field, emphasized the cultivation of students' scientific ability and attitude, which provided a new perspective to revise the chemistry curriculum standard for junior high school of China.
