Abstract N and Cl have the same L. Pauling electronegativity, so their non-metallic should be the same, but the atomic radii, ionization energies, electron affinities and other electronegativity of them are different, reflecting the difference in their non-metallic. This paper compared the non-metallic of N and Cl in nitrogen trichloride, which indicated that the non-metallic comparison of N and Cl should be based on dynamic electronegativity.
