Abstract Some teaching and management methods of chemical engineering experiment course in University of Science and Technology of China were introduced. Attention was paid to the preparatory work before the course, such as instruments' commissioning, assistants training, and good introduction. The cooperative teaching mode within the group teams and between group teams was developed. The experimental management system was improved by strict attendance, the registration of the experimental conditions, and clear requirements of the experimental report. These methods have played a positive role in teaching quality and the comprehensive quality of students.
