Abstract The 3D virtual simulation technology was introduced into the experiment teaching of lithium ion battery. The virtual simulation experiment of lithium ion button cell production and performance test was made, and the design process of simulation experiment was introduced. The simulation experiment used 3Ds Max software to build the model and animation of the instrument and working principle, built a highly simulated virtual laboratory scene with Unity3D software and simulated the whole process of the experiment operation, so that the operator could easily complete the virtual simulation experiment process of production and performance test of lithium ion button battery. The application of 3D virtual simulation technology in the experiment teaching of lithium ion battery could make up the deficiency of traditional experiment teaching of lithium ion battery, improve the students' interests in learning, enrich the teaching means of classroom experiment, and improve the teaching quality and teaching effect effectively.
