Abstract According to the problems in using chemical data in teaching, this paper put forward some matters needed attention, such as the characteristics of certain substances, the range or conditions of data, the rationality of data in compiled exercises. It was pointed out that the scientific application of chemical data could cultivate students' scientific spirit of seeking truth from facts.
