Abstract According to the characteristics of the experiment in chemical engineering and technology of China University of Petroleum (East China), this paper analyzed the experimental content, teaching mode and teaching methods. We put forward the gradually ascending experimental teaching mode of "three labs", and the simulation system into the experiment course, and operation mechanism of open laboratory. Meanwhile, the shortcomings and suggestions were pointed out. The purpose was to improve the comprehensive experimental skills of undergraduates, to fully mobilize the enthusiasm of students to learn, and to enhance their innovative sense and innovative capability. Finally, we would strive to cultivate high-level chemical personnel.
