Teaching and Management Mode of Professional English Course for Postgraduate Students from Chemistry and Chemical Engineering:The Experience from National University of Singapore

Abstract The professional English course for postgraduate students from chemistry and chemical engineering exists several problems such as its poor practical applicability. Therefore, in order to improve the students' communication skills, it is necessary to learn the advanced teaching and management mode from abroad during the curriculum reform. In this paper, general requirements for professional English course of science and engineering majors in National University of Singapore were introduced. In addition, the teaching management mode was also discussed from the perspective of course organization, content, teaching mode and feedback. Finally, suggestions were given to the domestic professional English course teaching.
