Abstract Based on the research of core literacy and related literatures, this paper analyzed the position and function of relational formula in junior high school chemical calculation. Taking the teaching case of "application of relational formula in junior high school chemical calculation", this paper put forward the suggestions for efficient review:teachers should have a macro understanding of the objectives and functions of the review course, help students to form basic chemistry concepts, improve their ability to solve problems, and build students' self-confidence. Teachers should also carefully design the activities of various micro links, so as to maximize the efficiency of review.
