Historical Background and Its' Educational Value of the Experiment of Purification of Crude Salt

Abstract Through analyzing the curriculum standards and arrangement of junior and senior high school chemistry textbooks of "the purification of crude salt", retrieving relevant literatures on high school chemistry teaching, this paper found the lack of the historical background of this experiment, and analyzed the types of salt production and development in our country. Finally, with the guidance of HPS theory, this paper analyzed the educational value of the historical background of the purification of crude salt.
