Abstract With the emergence of intelligent portable electronics, more and more research attentions have been paid to flexible and wearable batteries with high energy density and high power density. In this paper, the development of flexible electrode materials, solid state electrolytes, device configurations and preparation technologies of flexible batteries are summarized, and then the existing problems of flexible batteries are discussed. Finally, the future development directions are envisioned.
