Abstract The concept of "Internet+" makes the popular science education form quite diversified. In this paper, the necessity of popularizing chemistry education in higher vocational school; the status of popular science education under the background of "Internet+"; the practice of popularizing chemistry education by means of making animation videos, developing games, establishing WeChat group are introduced, and the results in practice are also summarized.
