Abstract Fostering full-time master of education (Subject Teaching-Chemistry) graduates is a challenge and brand-new research topic. Three aspects of "target orientation", "curriculum optimization" and "practice improvement" were adopted to discuss the cultivation of chemistry educational graduates. From "target orientation", it should foster chemistry educational graduates to have better chemistry classroom teaching and research abilities; from "curriculum optimization", it should optimize a better functional and structural curriculum system; from "practice improvement", it should construct a full-type and whole process practicum platform based on scientific lesson polishing mode.
