Abstract In the Guide Inquiry Activity in AP Chemistry Classroom, the necessity of adopting inquiry teaching method for conceptual knowledge is clarified, and according to the theory of learning circle, four consecutive teaching activity stages are successively divided: concept inquiry, concept formation, concept application and concept evaluation, so that students can participate in the whole process of scientific concept formation. Taking the teaching content of “chemical equation” as an example, this paper introduces the relevant teaching theories and the inquiry teaching enclosed-loop formed on this basis, in order to play a certain reference role in the inquiry teaching reform of chemistry concepts in middle schools in China.
