Abstract There are hundreds of formulas involved in physical chemistry, and students have great difficulty in memorizing them. To solve this problem, this paper introduces several different methods of formula understanding and memory, including deductive derivation method, comparative memory method, dimensional verification method, understanding error correction method and interactive verification method. Several examples are illustrated to describe the application of these methods in detail.
