Abstract According to the theories reported in literature and UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, it is proved that Fe2+ can form chemical bond with SCN-. Based on the principle of chemical equilibrium movement and the principle of precipitation and dissolution equilibrium, a controlled experiment further verifies that complexation reaction can occur between Fe2+ and SCN-.
