Abstract In this article, a four-dimensional systematic model of discipline core literacy in the topic of electrolyte solution was developed. The four dimensions include core knowledge, discipline task and context, cognitive mode and discipline competence. By using this model, the development goal of discipline competence core literacy can be materialized, and the design and evaluation of teaching activities can be carried out. This model can provide the foundation and support for literacy-oriented teaching.
