Abstract In order to implement “Outline of the National Program for Medium and Long Term Educational Reform development” as well as improve teachers’ specialty literacy, the Feicheng Education and Sports Bureau and the College of Chemistry of Beijing Normal University signed the “High School Excellent Chemistry Teacher Development Base Project”. This project has formed a “three-dimensional teaching and research” training system for high school chemistry teachers, centering on the topics such as teaching materials and teaching methods, curriculum cohesion, popular science education, teaching research and paper writing, and college entrance examination guidance. This project has improved the overall teaching level of senior high school chemistry teachers, cultivated a number of famous teachers, and formed a new mode of teacher training community jointly built by county-level senior quality high school and higher normal education.
