Abstract The development of the Internet has accelerated the dissemination of information and knowledge. It not only provides more resources for college curriculum teaching, but also brings great challenges to the traditional classroom teaching methods. This paper introduces the teaching reform and practice implemented by the physical chemistry teaching team of Beijing Normal University using Internet resources, such as the establishment of online and offline mixed teaching methods, the construction of massive online open courses (MOOC), and the introduction of ideological and scientific literacy, so as to provide a reference for exploring and establishing a new mode of college chemistry teaching methods in the information age.
