Comprehensive Chemical Experiment with the Characteristics of Agriculture and Forestry: Extraction and Determination of Flavonoids from Prunus triloba f. multiplex Flowers

Abstract A new comprehensive chemical experiment with the characteristics of agriculture and forestry was developed. Flavonoids was extracted by ultrasonic assisted ethanol solvent from prunus triloba f. multiplex flowers. Using calibration curve of rutin, the content of flavonoids was then determined by aluminum nitrate spectrophotometry. This experiment is from teachers’ scientific research achievements, and has been included in the analytical chemistry experiment course in our university to realize “integration of science and education”. The experiment can be used as a comprehensive experiment in analytical chemistry experiment courses for junior students of near-chemistry majors.
