Abstract Taking the innovative experimental research on “preparation of environmentally friendly degradable film” as an example, this paper explores the use of STEM education mode to guide students to prepare an environmentally friendly film with fast degradation speed and less pollution through their knowledge. Through theoretical learning, practical exploration, performance test and other experimental links, the optimal reagent ratio is finally determined. Under the STEM concept, the theoretical knowledge is integrated into the engineering design of environmental protection materials to realize the integration of disciplines.
