Abstract Taking “comprehensive recovery and utilization of pyrite cinders” as the project learning theme, taking the preparation of copperas from pyrite cinder, and carrying out qualitative detection and quantitative composition determination as the project learning activities, this paper presents project learning and implementation process. Through the solution of real problems, the project-based teaching cultivates students' core competence and promotes in-depth learning.
