Abstract As a new generation of artificial simulated enzymes,nanozymes can not only“simulate”the activity of natural enzymes,but also endow artificial enzymes with functions that“surpass”natural enzymes on the basis of combining the characteristics of nanomaterials,which is the product of multidisciplinary cross-integration.In this paper,the background and unique properties of nanozymes are introduced,various design and preparation ideas of nanozymes are sorted out from the aspects of“simulation”and“transcendence”of natural enzymes,the current application status and future research directions of nanozymes in the biomedicine,agriculture and food safety,environment,energy,and chemical engineering are summarized.
