Abstract This paper used baking soda, household disinfectant vinegar (at a concentration of about 80%), coins, and other materials for kitchen experiments, making a homemade, reusable “breaking heat” hand warmer, which provided a new avenue for students to grasp the concepts of solutions, heat energy, and phase change.
