Abstract Inquiry study is a new learning way which reflects the new course ideas, and establishing hypothesis is the core factors in inquiry study. In this paper, the methods of establishing hypothesis is described briefly from four aspects, and three types of cases which specify the application of hypothesis in inquiry study are listed.
