Abstract Analytical chemistry curriculum reform and especially the development of analytical chemistry textbooks are studied from the perspective of textbook publishers. The development of analytical chemistry textbooks experienced embryonic period, development period and mature period. The characteristics and changes of form and content of typical analytical chemistry textbooks in different periods are elaborated, and the developing trends are discussed.
