Abstract This article discussed how to coordinate and harmonize the teaching process of inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry according to their contents and characteristics and our experiences of teaching. The teaching of the inorganic chemistry should be mainly based on the interconnection of knowledge and applications of chemistry, whereas that of the physical chemistry mainly based on the excavation and elevation of each knowledge point. This harmonization improved the utilization efficiency of class time, and promoted the cultivation of self-learning and scientific thinking ability of students.
