Abstract This paper used double wavelength ultraviolet spectrophotometry to eliminate the interference of salicylic acid to the determination of effective duration of aspirin by accelerated experiment. The results showed that the difference of absorbance value between the wavelength of 275 nm and 316 nm could reflect the accurate concentration of aspirin without interference of salicylic acid, and the operation was simple.
