Abstract The reform of traditional teaching mode was caused by the appearance of MOOCs in higher vocational education. On the basis of characteristics and training objective of drug synthesis technology, the whole course was divided into base module and development module, meanwhile two principles including deep involvement of enterprises and learning analysis were adhered. Different teaching methods and teaching activities were chosen according to content characteristics of each module. At the same time, the standard of evaluation was improved.
