Visual Program Design of the Particle Energy Level and Wave Function in Infinite Potential Well based on LabVIEW

Abstract The visual program for the particle energy level and wave function in 1, 2-dimensional infinite potential well was built based on LabVIEW. The versatile program can achieve the graphical quantum effects of particles, draw the wave function and probability density wave function, and obtain the exact solution of probability interval of wave function in real time. According to the Schrödinger equation of particle in potential box and its general solution, the visual program connected the theoretical knowledge with practical programming, realized the graphic wave function, and automatically completed the accurate calculation task. The program optimized the teaching method, strengthened the theory learning effects, and improved the quality of teaching. It also has many advantages such as friendly interface, easy control and free function expansion.
