Abstract PBL teaching method was employed in organic chemistry-teaching for pharmacy major in higher vocational education, and the teaching progress contained five steps including teachers' setting problems before class, literature search, group discussion, students' evaluation and teachers' summary. Compared with traditional teaching methods, PBL teaching method could arouse students' interest of learning, cultivate their independent learning ability and improve their ability to analyze and solve problems.
