Abstract This paper designed a teaching experiment program to study oxidability of ozone by using self-made distributary ozone generator and choosing organophosphorus pesticide glyphosate as an object. The experiment program included the determination of the amount of ozone, the determination of orthophosphate ions degraded from glyphosate, the conversion of glyphosate to orthophosphate ions, and the conversion curve of glyphosate degradation with time. Through this experiment, students could deeply understand and master the oxidation properties of ozone and its research methods. The research-oriented experiment was innovative and practical, and has been successfully used in teaching experiment of environmental chemistry for undergraduate.
