Abstract This article introduced a comprehensive design experiment:the synthesis and properties of food additive sodium glycinate carbonate. The students explored literature, designed experimental program, synthesized sodium glycinate carbonate by wet, ultrasonic wave and microwave methods with comparison of the different synthetic methods, learned to use the IR and UV large analysis instruments to characterize the products, discussed the properties of the product, finally summarized the experimental results and made defense, which completed a simple practice of scientific research process.
