Abstract Using the self-made questionnaire of pre-service chemistry teacher,this paper investigated the development of TPACK of 902 students majoring in chemistry. Results showed that there were significant gender differences in the TPACK of pre-service chemistry teachers, boys higher than girls in TK,PCK,TPK,TCK,TPCK, and girls higher than boys in CK and PK;second,there were significant differences in pre-service chemistry teachers from city and rural in TK and CK, the score of the rural higher than the cities in CK,PK,PCK,TCK,TPK and TPCK;third,there were significant grade differences, with the increase of grade, TPACK presents the wave sustainable development trend.
