Abstract This paper introduced the application of cognitive apprenticeship in physical chemistry teaching for pharmacy. This teaching process included six steps of demonstrating, guiding, providing "scaffold", articulating, introspecting and exploring, which not only stimulated students' learning interests, but also improved their comprehensive ability to integrate theory and practice.
