Abstract Organosilicon and organoboron derivatives are very important compounds in organic chemistry, and are widely used in organic synthesis, material chemistry and other related research areas. In particular, they have unique contributions toward the emerging research area of organic semiconducting materials. This paper summarized the applications of these two kinds of compounds in organic semiconducting materials.
