Abstract This paper introduced the application of question-based teaching of inorganic chemistry theory, and suggested the methods for setting the contexts of questions by the conflicts between objective fact and students' original knowledge, students' different views on the same problem, typical and common errors of the students, popular science knowledge, classroom demonstration of experiment, and putting forward and testing hypotheses.
