Abstract In view of the problems existing in the traditional teaching practice, this paper explored "double-track" teaching mode of inorganic and analytical chemistry experiment, which combined in-class experiments with extracurricular practice. This study introduced the importance, general objectives and framework of this teaching mode, carried out the in-class experiment teaching reform by innovating teaching methods, optimizing teaching contents and advocating the concept of green chemistry, explored the extracurricular practice reform from teaching contents, teaching methods and organization mode, and optimized the "double-track" practice teaching evaluation system.
