Abstract According to the target location of running school of shanghai institute of technology, our school of chemical and environmental engineering presented the applied talents building concept for the major of chemical engineering and technology. The reform programs designed in terms of personnel training program, curriculum construction and teaching methods, teaching management system, and teaching staff. The preliminary exploration of these reform programs have been done.
