Abstract Internet is more and more popular, so how to rapidly get and effectively apply valuable literatures and information become more and more important. Based on experiences on research and teaching, this paper summarized strategies for effectively searching and using chemical information, and discussed how to retrieve, collect, sort, filter and read chemical literatures and information, and suggested the sorting, filtering and reading methods are also discussed, in order to help college students and graduates to write review papers before scientific research and technological development.
