Case Teaching of Coal Mine Methane Utilization Technology Based on Aspen Plus

Abstract In order to assist students master the basic theory of Coal Mine Methane Utilization Technology, this study integrated the research achievement of coal-bed methane low-temperature distillation separation and employed Aspen Plus process simulation software to simulate the gas-liquid phase equilibrium of coal-bed methane and process of low-temperature distillation in teaching. This study conducted calculation of operating variables and sensitivity analysis of distillation tower to analyze the influence of operating variable change on the process of distillation according to the technical requirement of coal-bed methane distillation separation. Students could learn about the change of parameters in the distillation tower and master the operation of distillation separation, reinforce the understanding of coal-bed methane separation theory, and develop the comprehensive quality, which improves teaching efficiency and quality.
