Abstract In order to improve the teaching effect of chemical engineering thermodynamics, this paper proposed "three-three-three" teaching mode, including "three adding" of adding class-related divertive knowledge, adding application cases and adding teaching experiments;"three connections" of the connection between knowledge and structures, the connection between book contents and engineering software and the connection of this course and others; and "three basics" of basic concepts, basic theories and basic methods.
