Abstract The specific application and characteristics of iSpartan software in organic spectroscopy teaching were introduced. Molecular vibration mode, assignment of IR and NMR absorption peaks, are the difficulties in spectroscopic analysis course. Through the easily visual operation of iSpartan software, making the teaching contents vivid, it is helpful for students to obtain the perceptual knowledge and understand deeply. The introduction of ispartan software increased the teaching efficiency.
