Abstract The chemistry researches won the Nobel Prize were divided into five dimensions based on ontology, epistemology and methodology, such as theory construction, material research, reaction mechanism, discovery and synthesis of new material, and new method creation. This paper drew the beneficial enlightenments on Chinese chemistry teaching by analyzing the one hundred years' evolution of the Nobel Prize winning chemistry researches, such as pay more attention to the cultivation of students' critical consciousness and innovative spirit, highlight the disciplinary and social values of chemistry, and consider the integration of chemistry and other related disciplines.
