Abstract The scientific achievements were introduced into the instrumental analysis experiment teaching and the development of HPLC-MS experiment was described based on the hydrolysis of formamidine disulphide dihydrochloride. Students could solve the chemical problems by analytical chemistry methods in which species separation combined with species determination, data analysis combined with chemistry theory. The experiment could develop students' abilities of comprehensive analysis and stimulate their interests in scientific research.
