Review and Prospect of Molecular Machines:Introduction to Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2016
In 1983, Jean-Pierre Sauvage linked two ring-shaped molecules together to form a chain, called a catenane in which the two interlocked rings can move relative to each other. In 1991, Fraser Stoddart developed a rotaxane and displayed that the interlocked ring was able to move along the axle. Based on rotaxanes, he developed a few complex molecular machines, for instance, a molecular lift and a molecular muscle. In 1999, Bernard Feringa first developed a unidirectional, light-driven molecular motor which was further applied to design a nanocar.Sauvage,Stoddar and Feringa shared the Nobel Prize in chemisty in 2016 for the design and synthesis of molecular machines.

Statistical Analysis on Research and Construction of Excellent Chemistry Courses
Based on the information in iCourses website (excellent courses website of chinese universities)and the platform of lifelong learning courses,this paper carried out a comparative analysis on the research and construction of excellent courses of chemistry and basic chemistry in vocational and technical colleges and undergraduate collges. The results showed that the construction of excellent courses was greatly influenced by policies, there was a corresponding relation between level and grade of courses construction, and the construction of excellent courses was affected by the attributes of courses.

Development and Teaching Practice of HPLC-MS Experiment in Instrumental Analysis

Students could solve the chemical problems by analytical chemistry methods in which species separation combined with species determination, data analysis combined with chemistry theory. The experiment could develop students' abilities of comprehensive analysis and stimulate their interests in scientific research.
Preparation of Visible-Light Photocatalyst Ag/Ag2O and Its Degradation Performance for Dyes
The synthesis of visible-light photocatalyst Ag/Ag2O and its photocatalytic degradation performance for dye have been designed as an excellent comprehensive chemical experiment and its corresponding teaching plan was carefully introduced. Ag/Ag2O photocatalyst was prepared by a direct precipitation method to form Ag2O and then metallic Ag was in situ produced on the Ag2O surface under light irradiation owing to its self-decomposition property. The photocatalyst was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD), and the decolorization experiment of methyl orange (MO) solution was employed to characterize the photocatalytic performance of Ag/Ag2O photocatalyst. The results showed that Ag/Ag2O photocatalyst exhibited excellent visible-light photocatalytic activity. The present experiment includes the basic knowledge of college chemistry and basic skills such as material synthesis and instrumental analysis, which is very important and necessary for students to improve their academic knowledge, innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Comparative Study Method in Chemistry Experiment Teaching with Example of Preparations of Cyclohexene and Isoamyl Acetate
This paper introduced the experimental methods and operation steps of the synthesis of cyclohexene and isoamyl acetate, compared and analyzed the catalysts, equipment, end points and driers used in experiments. And this paper also discussed the correspondence between the properties, experimental methods, and operation steps. On the basis of the information provided by this study and combined with specific operations, students could better understand the contents of the chemical experiments, master the study methods for organic chemistry, as well as enhance their innovation ability and practical ability.
Potential Hazard of Asbestos Network Used in Laboratory
SEM-EDS and XRD were used to characterize asbestos network and the results showed that the mass fraction of chrysotile in asbestos network was above 30%. Chrysotile is easy to spread into the air, therefore, the health of students and teachers are threatened by chrysotile, after it is inhaled. So asbestos networks utilization should be banned or at least be controlled, and safety regulations are also needed urgently.

Application of Flipped Classroom in Experiment Courses of Sanitary Chemistry in Medical College
A new teaching mode, flipped classroom, was conducted in the experiment course of sanitary chemistry, an obligatory course of preventive medicine in medical college. This paper introduced the flipped dassroom design of the experiment of "Determination of sorbic acid and benzoic acid in beverage by high performance liquid chromatography", including the design of learning task list, video production, classroom teaching and evaluation of education effect. In summary, the application of flipped classroom could stimulate the interests and initiative of students major in preventive medicine in learning sanitary chemistry. Furthermore, the flipped classroom transfered the student from learner to researcher, transfered the teacher from initiator to promoter and tutor. The independent learning ability, the spirit of innovation and cooperation of the students could be effective developed.
Application of Inquiry Learning in Teaching of Chemical Engineering Principles
This paper introduced the application of inquiry learning in teaching of chemical engineering principles with example of thermal conduction. Teachers proposed problems and students analyzed and initially solved these problems. Then teachers continued to extend the problems. Finally, teachers and students explored and summarized the study together. Results showed that inquiry learning could make students understand knowledge deeply and obtain good learning methods, and improve their ability to analyze and solve problems correspondingly during the inquiry learning process.
